Australia & New Zealand: Bunnings achieved solid sales and earnings results in financial year 2023
Bunnings achieved solid sales and earnings results in financial year 2023, demonstrating the resilience of demand across their offer and the dedication of the team across operations.
Revenue for Bunnings increased 4.4 per cent to $18,539 million for the year, with earnings increasing 1.2 per cent to $2,230 million. During the year Bunnings focused on delivering value to customers through lowest prices, widest range and best experience. Refreshed product categories helped boost sales, including the successful launch of pet food and an expanded pets durables range and the introduction of additional own-brand products for customers looking to make their household budgets go further.
The results coincide with the release of Bunning’s annual Community Report Card, which outlines the many community and sustainability initiatives their team have supported over the past year. This year the team - often working alongside community groups and customers - helped to raise and contribute over $47.4 million, through more than 70,000 activities, such as community sausage sizzles and school sustainability events across Australia and New Zealand.
Bunnings shared that the company and community performance was only possible thanks to their outstanding team and suppliers who have done an incredible job serving their customers throughout the year.
